On a Winter’s Eve, is a whimsical compilation of pieces in celebration of winter. The album begins with holiday melodies, including fresh takes (and new arrangements for cello and piano) of beloved classics. Three beautiful winter ‘lullabies’ follow, written by three composers of Latin American heritage, setting a mood of warmth and nostalgia. The final section ‘Songs of Winter’ uses the voice of cello and piano to speak of the beauty and fragility of winter (and love), through winter-themed songs.
